Wargrave Tennis Club has excellent playing facilities and boasts 8 superb floodlit macadam courts, play is possible all year round up until 10'oclock in the evening.
 

The clubs coaching activities and events are managed by Paul Arnott and lead coach Alex Allen who between them offer a variety of tennis sessions from Mini Tennis right up to County standard players.

 

JUNIORS - Junior members have discounted rates and priority booking.

  •   After-school Mini Tennis group coaching on Mondays  
  •   Performance squad coaching  Wednesday evenings.
  •   Junior group coaching on Saturday mornings.
  •   One-to-one coaching

 

11 - 18 years Coaching - The Junior programme for players aged 11-18yrs of all standards runs throughout the week and on Saturday mornings. On Mondays there is a members club night.

 

Mini Tennis -  We offer many opportunities for children to start enjoying tennis from the age of 4.  Groups are divided into 3 categories:. Mini Tennis Red - 8 & Under, Mini Tennis Orange - 9 & Under and Mini Tennis Green - 10 & Under

Tennis Camps - Every half term and holiday period we run our popular tennis camps each weekday from 10-1pm or 10-3pm. The field is also utilised for those that wish to play football. 

ADULTS - We run a good sized adults programme at Wargrave with events for all standards from beginner up to the advanced club team players.   Coaching for team players during the year (all year) in 6 week sessions.

      • Beginners - Mixed group coaching on Friday night 19.00.
      • Intermediates - Mixed group coaching on Thursday night 19.00.
      • Ladies’ Match Practice is on Wednesdays at 19.00
      • one-to-one coaching

     

    NEW MEMBERS - As a new member, we understand the difficulty of meeting partners to play against.  We, therefore, encourage you to book a 15 minute assessment with one of the coaches, who will then be able to offer you a list of players of a similar ability to practise with.   The assessment will also help us to guide you to the available coaching sessions for your standard.   We have a special Friday evening session designed to introduce new members to each other and to improve beginners and 'rusty rackets'.

GDT is managed by Gary Drake and Ricky Dennis (both LTA Qualified and Licensed coaches) who between them they have over 25 years experience in the tennis industry including 7 years at one of the country’s leading privately owned racket and health clubs.
